Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State, was in riot following protests by students over alleged refusal of the management of the institution to allow some part time students who had not paid their school fees to seat for examination

It was gathered that the institution’s security personnel allegedly triggered the riot when they prevented some students, who had not paid their school fees, from writing the examination in accordance with management’s directives
